Call for Abstracts

 

Submission Deadline: January 31st , 2015

You are invited to submit an abstract for the 2nd Summit on Rural Generalist Medicine in Montreal.  Projects and proposals on topics related to the following thematic areas, aligning with the conference research objective, are invited for submission:

1.     Generalism and core comprehensive care research

2.     Rural health services research

 

Over 200 attendees are expected to attend this conference with representation from physicians, health services providers, and researchers across Canada.  Ample time will be provided for poster viewings within the conference’s research agenda.  We welcome research from the rural context that is either completed or in-progress.  We will only be accepting abstracts for poster presentation at this conference. 

 

General Rules for All Submissions

To submit an abstract please complete the attached Abstract Submission form.  The completed Abstract Submission form must be emailed to summitsubmissions@srpc.ca.  Abstracts must be submitted no later January 31st , 2015.  Acknowledgement of receipt of submission will be sent after your abstract is received.  All presenters must register for the conference and pay the appropriate registration fees.  Abstracts will be reviewed by the abstract review committee and letters of acceptance will be emailed by February 21st , 2015. 

 

Abstract Requirements

Þ    Abstracts are limited to 300 words (title and author name(s) are excluded)

Þ    Please type the body of the abstract as one paragraph

Þ    The abstract should be written in the third person and should not contain references or acknowledgements

Þ    Please include the following subheadings: 1) Title and author name(s); 2) Purpose & Objective(s); 3) Methods; 4) Results; 5) Conclusion(s)
